Strong demand for New Zealand wines
Readers letter (so far 0)
The demand for wine from New Zealand is strong, and export sales have risen to a record high.
In the twelve months to June 2008, New Zealand wineries posted record export sales. The total of around800 million New Zealand dollars (around 385 million Euros) represents a growth of 14 per cent compared to the previous 12-month period, to June 2007. Not a lot of this wine from New Zealand gets to Germany, however, the most important export market was Australia, which posted particularly strong growth of 37 per cent in the period under review.
