German state television channel ZDF and the Tre Torri Verlag publishing house will be holding a symposium on the subject of molecular cooking on 1. September 2008.

A symposium on the topic of molecular cooking, entitled "The journey of xanthane" will be held at the ZDF broadcasting centre in Mainz, Germany, on 1. September 2008. Presenters include phyicist Prof. Dr. Thomas Vilgis - author of books and articles on teh subject of molecular cooking - as well as star chefs Michael Hoffmann and Joachim Wissler. This is the first time that both chefs and scientists working on the topic of molecular cooking will be brought together in this kind of programme. (WF)
