Wine-growing region (GI) in the federal state of Western Australia in Australia, part of the South West Australia zone. It lies to the south of the Margaret River region, stretching along the coast from Bunbury in the north to Capel in the south. There are three sub-regions: Capel, Donnybrook and Ferguson Valley. The most important red varieties planted are Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, the leading white varieties are Chardonnay and Riesling. Well-known producers include Capel Vale, Fergusson Falls Estate and Killerby.
